Pontiac Silverdome
The Pontiac Silverdome was a large sports and entertainment venue located in Pontiac, Michigan. Opened in 1975, it was primarily known as the home of the Detroit Lions NFL team until 2001. The stadium had a seating capacity of over 80,000 and hosted various events, including concerts and soccer matches.
After its closure in 2006, the Silverdome fell into disrepair, leading to its eventual demolition in 2017. Despite its decline, the venue was once a significant landmark in the region, representing a vibrant era of sports and entertainment in the Detroit metropolitan area.
