Pokémon Shield is a role-playing video game developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. Released in November 2019, it is part of the eighth generation of the Pokémon series. Players explore the Galar region, capturing and training various creatures known as Pokémon to battle other trainers. In Pokémon Shield, players can choose from three starter Pokémon: Grookey, Sobble, or Scorbunny.
