Point Vicente Lighthouse
Point Vicente Lighthouse is located on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in California. Built in 1926, it stands 67 feet tall and is known for its distinctive white and black stripes. The lighthouse was constructed to guide ships navigating the treacherous waters of the Pacific Ocean.
The lighthouse is part of the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, which offers educational exhibits about the area's maritime history and local wildlife. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the coastline and, during certain seasons, spot migrating gray whales from the nearby cliffs.
