Point Bonita Lighthouse
Point Bonita Lighthouse is located on the Marin Headlands in California, overlooking the entrance to San Francisco Bay. Established in 1855, it was built to guide ships safely through the often foggy waters of the Pacific Ocean. The lighthouse stands at a height of 76 feet and features a distinctive white tower with a black lantern.
Visitors can access the lighthouse via a scenic trail that includes a suspension bridge. The site is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and offers stunning views of the coastline and the Golden Gate Bridge. The lighthouse is still operational and is an important navigational aid.
