Play Action
Play Action is a football strategy used by the offense to deceive the defense. In this play, the quarterback fakes a handoff to a running back, making it appear as though a run is about to occur. This can cause defenders to commit to stopping the run, creating space for other offensive players.
After the fake, the quarterback can either pass the ball or continue with the play. The goal of Play Action is to catch the defense off guard, allowing for potential big gains through the air. It is often used to exploit aggressive defenses that are focused on stopping the run.
