Platoons
A platoon is a military unit typically composed of two or more squads, usually numbering between 15 to 50 soldiers. It is a fundamental building block in the organization of larger military formations, such as companies and battalions. Platoons are often led by a lieutenant and are designed to operate as a cohesive team in various combat and support roles.
In addition to combat operations, platoons can also engage in training exercises and community support activities. They may specialize in different functions, such as infantry, armor, or engineering, depending on the needs of the military branch, such as the Army or Marine Corps.
