Pix2Pix
Pix2Pix is a type of machine learning model that uses a technique called generative adversarial networks (GANs) to transform images from one domain to another. For example, it can convert sketches into realistic images or turn satellite images into maps. The model learns from paired datasets, where each input image corresponds to a specific output image.
The process involves two neural networks: a generator that creates images and a discriminator that evaluates them. The generator tries to produce images that look real, while the discriminator assesses whether the images are genuine or generated. This competition helps improve the quality of the generated images over time.
