Pisces-Perseus Supercluster
The Pisces-Perseus Supercluster is a massive group of galaxies located in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is part of the larger Laniakea Supercluster, which contains our own Milky Way Galaxy. This supercluster is approximately 250 million light-years away from Earth and spans about 100 million light-years in diameter.
Within the Pisces-Perseus Supercluster, notable galaxy clusters include the Perseus Cluster and the Pisces Cluster. These clusters are rich in galaxies and dark matter, making them important for studying cosmic structure and evolution. The supercluster plays a significant role in understanding the large-scale organization of the universe.
