Pipe Bursting
Pipe bursting is a trenchless method used to replace old or damaged underground pipes. It involves breaking apart the existing pipe while simultaneously installing a new one in its place. This technique minimizes surface disruption, making it ideal for urban areas where digging up roads or landscaping would be problematic.
The process begins with a small access point, where a bursting head is inserted into the old pipe. As the head moves forward, it fractures the old pipe and pushes the fragments into the surrounding soil, allowing the new pipe to be pulled through. This method is efficient and reduces the need for extensive excavation.
