Pigeon Island Castle
Pigeon Island Castle is a historic site located on Pigeon Island, off the coast of Saint Lucia. Built in the 18th century, it served as a strategic military outpost during colonial conflicts, particularly between the British and the French. The castle features stone walls and a commanding view of the surrounding waters, making it an ideal location for defense.
Today, Pigeon Island is part of the Pigeon Island National Landmark, which includes hiking trails and beautiful beaches. Visitors can explore the ruins of the castle and learn about its history, as well as enjoy the scenic views of the Caribbean Sea.
