Pictured Rocks is a stunning natural formation located along the southern shore of Lake Superior in Michigan. It is known for its colorful cliffs, which rise up to 200 feet above the water. The vibrant hues of the rocks are created by minerals such as iron and copper, giving them a unique appearance that attracts many visitors.
The area is part of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, the first national lakeshore in the United States, established in 1966.
