Pickett's Charge
Pickett's Charge was a pivotal event during the Battle of Gettysburg on July 3, 1863, in the American Civil War. It involved a massive assault by approximately 12,500 Confederate soldiers led by General George Pickett against the center of the Union line on Cemetery Ridge. The charge aimed to break Union defenses but faced heavy artillery and rifle fire.
