Physical mediums
Physical mediums are individuals who claim to facilitate communication between the living and the deceased through physical manifestations. These manifestations can include movements of objects, sounds, or even the appearance of ectoplasm, which is a substance believed to be produced by spirits. Physical mediums often conduct séances, where participants gather to attempt to connect with spirits.
The practice of physical mediumship has a long history, particularly during the Spiritualism movement of the 19th century. Notable physical mediums, such as Daniel Dunglas Home, gained fame for their purported abilities to produce physical phenomena. While many people believe in the authenticity of these experiences, skepticism remains prevalent in the scientific community.
