Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is a non-profit organization that certifies pharmacy technicians in the United States. Established in 1995, the PTCB aims to enhance medication safety by ensuring that pharmacy technicians meet high standards of knowledge and skills.
To become certified, candidates must pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE), which assesses their understanding of pharmacy practices and procedures. Certification is valid for two years, after which technicians must complete continuing education requirements to maintain their credentials.
