Peter Yarrow
Peter Yarrow is an American folk singer and songwriter, best known as a member of the trio Peter, Paul and Mary. Born on May 31, 1938, in New York City, he gained fame in the 1960s for his contributions to the folk music revival. The group is celebrated for their harmonious vocals and socially conscious songs, including the iconic Puff, the Magic Dragon.
In addition to his music career, Yarrow is an advocate for various social causes, particularly those related to children and education. He has been involved in numerous charitable efforts and founded the Peter Yarrow Foundation to promote peace and social justice through music and education.
