Pet CPR
Pet CPR is a life-saving technique used to revive pets that have stopped breathing or whose hearts have stopped beating. It involves a combination of chest compressions and rescue breaths, similar to human CPR, but adapted for animals. Knowing how to perform CPR on pets can be crucial in emergencies, especially for dogs and cats.
To perform Pet CPR, first check for responsiveness and breathing. If the pet is unresponsive and not breathing, place them on a flat surface. For dogs, use two hands to compress the chest, while for smaller pets like cats, use one hand. After every 30 compressions, give two rescue breaths by sealing your mouth over the pet's nose and blowing gently.
