Permanent Residents
Permanent residents are individuals who have been granted the right to live and work in a country indefinitely. They hold a Permanent Resident Card, often referred to as a green card in the United States, which allows them to enjoy many of the same benefits as citizens, such as access to education and healthcare.
However, permanent residents do not have the same rights as citizens. They cannot vote in elections and may be subject to deportation if they commit certain crimes or violate immigration laws. Permanent residency can be obtained through various means, including family sponsorship, employment, or refugee status.
