Peleliu
Peleliu is an island in the western Pacific Ocean, part of the Palau archipelago. Historically, Peleliu is significant for the Battle of Peleliu during World War II, which took place in 1944. This battle was part of the Pacific campaign and involved intense fighting between American and Japanese forces.
