Pejavara
Pejavara is a prominent Hindu monastery located in the Udupi district of Karnataka, India. It is one of the eight mathas established by the philosopher and saint Madhvacharya, who founded the Dvaita school of philosophy. The matha plays a significant role in promoting spiritual teachings and rituals associated with the Vaishnavism tradition.
The Pejavara matha is known for its rich history and cultural contributions, including the annual Rath Yatra (chariot festival) held in Udupi. The current head of the matha, Vishwesha Tirtha Swami, has been influential in various social and educational initiatives, furthering the legacy of the institution.
