Peadar Kearney
Peadar Kearney was an Irish nationalist and poet, best known for writing the lyrics to the Irish national anthem, "Amhrán na bhFiann" (The Soldier's Song). Born in 1883 in County Antrim, he became involved in the Irish nationalist movement and contributed to various publications advocating for Irish independence.
Kearney's work reflects his deep commitment to the cause of Irish nationalism. He was also a member of the Irish Republican Brotherhood and participated in the 1916 Easter Rising, a pivotal event in the struggle for Irish independence.
