Peñarol
Peñarol, officially known as Club Atlético Peñarol, is a professional football club based in Montevideo, Uruguay. Founded in 1891, it is one of the oldest and most successful clubs in South America. Peñarol has won numerous national championships and is a prominent competitor in the Uruguayan Primera División.
The club's colors are black and yellow, and its nickname is "Los Carboneros," which translates to "The Coalmen." Peñarol has a fierce rivalry with Nacional, another major Uruguayan club, and their matches are known as the Clásico. The club has also achieved success in international competitions, including the Copa Libertadores.
