Pauline Réage
Pauline Réage was the pen name of French author Anne Desclos, born on March 17, 1907. She is best known for her controversial novel Story of O, published in 1954, which explores themes of eroticism, submission, and power dynamics in relationships. The book gained notoriety for its explicit content and has been both celebrated and criticized for its portrayal of BDSM.
