Paul Jones was a naval commander during the American Revolutionary War, often referred to as the "Father of the American Navy." Born in Scotland in 1747, he became a prominent figure in naval warfare, known for his daring tactics and successful raids against British ships. His most famous victory came in 1779 when he captured the British warship HMS Serapis. Jones is also remembered for his famous quote, "I have not yet begun to fight!" during a fierce battle at sea. After the war, he continued to serve in various naval roles, including in the Russian Navy, before his death in 1792.
