Part 107
Part 107 is a set of regulations established by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that governs the use of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS), commonly known as drones, for commercial purposes. It outlines the requirements for drone operators, including age, certification, and operational limitations, ensuring safety in the national airspace.
Under Part 107, drone pilots must obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate by passing a knowledge test. The regulations also specify that drones must be flown below 400 feet, within the operator's line of sight, and away from people and restricted airspace, promoting safe and responsible drone use.
