Parliament of Queensland
The Parliament of Queensland is the legislative body of the state of Queensland, Australia. It consists of two houses: the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council. The Parliament is responsible for making laws, debating issues, and representing the interests of Queenslanders.
The Legislative Assembly is made up of elected members, while the Legislative Council was abolished in 1922. The Parliament meets at Parliament House in Brisbane, where it conducts its sessions and discussions. The Premier of Queensland leads the government, and the Governor represents the Crown in the state.
