Paris II
Paris II refers to the second phase of the Paris climate agreement, which aims to combat climate change by limiting global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels. This agreement was adopted in 2015 during the United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP21, held in Paris.
The key feature of Paris II is the commitment from countries to set and achieve their own greenhouse gas reduction targets, known as Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). This collaborative approach encourages nations to enhance their efforts over time, promoting sustainable development and resilience against climate impacts.
