Parent Training and Information Centers
Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs) are organizations that provide support and resources to parents of children with disabilities. They help families understand their rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and offer guidance on navigating special education services.
PTIs also offer training sessions, workshops, and informational materials to empower parents. Their goal is to enhance parents' knowledge and skills, enabling them to advocate effectively for their children's educational needs and ensure they receive appropriate services and support.
