Paralympic shooting
Paralympic shooting is a competitive sport for athletes with physical disabilities, where participants aim to hit targets using firearms. The sport includes various events, such as rifle and pistol shooting, and is governed by the rules set by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). Athletes compete in different classifications based on their level of disability to ensure fair competition.
Competitors shoot from designated positions, which may include standing, kneeling, or prone, depending on their classification. The events take place at distances ranging from 10 to 50 meters, and precision is key, as scores are determined by how close the shots land to the center of the target.
