Paraguayan Government
The Paraguayan Government operates as a representative democratic republic, where the President serves as both the head of state and government. The government is divided into three branches: the executive, legislative, and judicial. The President is elected for a five-year term and cannot serve consecutive terms.
The National Congress is the legislative body, consisting of two chambers: the Chamber of Senators and the Chamber of Deputies. Members of both chambers are elected by the public. The judicial system is independent, with the Supreme Court of Justice being the highest court, ensuring the rule of law and the protection of citizens' rights.
