Pan-Iranism
Pan-Iranism is a political and cultural ideology that promotes the unity of all Iranian peoples and territories. It emphasizes the shared history, language, and culture of various ethnic groups within the Iranian plateau, including Persians, Kurds, Azeris, and others. The movement seeks to strengthen national identity and foster cooperation among these groups.
The concept of Pan-Iranism emerged in the early 20th century, partly as a response to foreign influence and territorial divisions. Advocates believe in the importance of preserving Iranian heritage and promoting the idea of a greater Iran that encompasses all Iranian-speaking populations, regardless of current political boundaries.
