Pan Am
Pan Am, short for Pan American World Airways, was a major American airline that operated from 1927 until 1991. It was known for its pioneering role in international air travel and was one of the first airlines to offer transcontinental and transatlantic flights. The airline's iconic blue globe logo and its luxurious service made it a symbol of the golden age of aviation.
Throughout its history, Pan Am introduced several innovations, including the first use of jet aircraft in commercial service and the establishment of the Pan Am Clipper flying boats. Despite its early successes, the airline faced financial difficulties in the 1980s and ultimately ceased operations in 1991.
