Palmar Interossei
The palmar interossei are a group of three small muscles located in the hand. They are situated between the metacarpal bones and play a crucial role in the movement of the fingers. These muscles are responsible for adducting the fingers, which means they help bring the fingers closer together.
Each palmar interosseus muscle is attached to a specific finger, excluding the middle finger, which has its own unique function. They work in conjunction with the dorsal interossei muscles to facilitate fine motor skills and grip strength, essential for various daily activities and tasks.
