Pairwise Deletion
Pairwise Deletion is a statistical method used to handle missing data in datasets. Instead of removing entire records with missing values, this technique analyzes only the available data for each specific analysis. This allows researchers to retain more information and utilize as much data as possible.
In practice, Pairwise Deletion calculates correlations or other statistics using all available pairs of data points. For example, if one variable has missing values, the analysis will only consider the cases where both variables have data. This approach can lead to more accurate results, but it may also introduce bias if the missing data is not random.
