PT Boat
A PT Boat, or Patrol Torpedo Boat, was a small, fast naval vessel used primarily by the United States during World War II. Designed for quick attacks, these boats were equipped with torpedoes and machine guns, allowing them to engage larger enemy ships effectively. Their speed and agility made them ideal for coastal operations and hit-and-run tactics.
PT Boats were typically around 80 feet long and could reach speeds of over 40 knots. They played a significant role in various naval campaigns, including the Pacific Theater, where they were instrumental in disrupting enemy supply lines and conducting reconnaissance missions.
