PNP
PNP, or Philippine National Police, is the national police force of the Philippines. Established in 1991, it is responsible for maintaining peace and order, enforcing laws, and preventing and investigating crimes. The PNP operates under the Department of the Interior and Local Government and aims to ensure public safety and security.
The PNP is composed of various units, including the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) and the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team. Officers undergo rigorous training to prepare for their duties, which include community policing, traffic management, and disaster response.
