PFCs
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, commonly known as PFCs, are a group of man-made chemicals used in various industrial and consumer products. They are known for their water- and grease-resistant properties, making them useful in items like non-stick cookware, water-repellent clothing, and food packaging.
PFCs are persistent in the environment and can accumulate in the human body over time. Due to their potential health risks, including effects on the immune system and hormonal disruption, many countries are working to regulate and reduce the use of PFCs in products and manufacturing processes.
