P. A. Sangma
P. A. Sangma was an Indian politician and a prominent leader from the northeastern state of Meghalaya. Born on September 1, 1947, he served as the Chief Minister of Meghalaya from 1993 to 1998. Sangma was a founding member of the Nationalist Congress Party and played a significant role in regional politics.
In addition to his role as Chief Minister, Sangma was a member of the Lok Sabha, the lower house of India's Parliament, representing the Tura constituency multiple times. He was also a candidate for the presidency of India in 2012, showcasing his influence in national politics.
