P-400
The P-400 is a variant of the P-39 Airacobra, a fighter aircraft used during World War II. Developed by Bell Aircraft Corporation, the P-400 was primarily designed for the United States Army Air Forces but was mainly supplied to the Royal New Zealand Air Force and other Allied forces. It featured a unique design with a mid-mounted wing and a tricycle landing gear.
Equipped with a powerful V-1710 engine, the P-400 was capable of reaching speeds of around 360 mph. Its armament typically included a combination of machine guns and cannons, making it effective in air-to-air combat. Despite its innovative design, the P-400 faced challenges in performance compared to other fighters of its time.
