Pétanque
Pétanque is a popular outdoor game that originated in France. It is played on a gravel or dirt surface, where players take turns throwing metal balls, called boules, as close as possible to a smaller target ball known as the cochonnet. The game can be played individually or in teams, typically consisting of two or three players.
The objective of Pétanque is to score points by having your boules closer to the cochonnet than your opponent's balls. Matches can be played in various formats, and the game is enjoyed by people of all ages, making it a social and recreational activity in parks and public spaces.
