Outfielder
An outfielder is a player in baseball or softball who plays in the outfield, which is the grassy area beyond the infield. Outfielders are responsible for catching fly balls, fielding ground balls, and preventing runs by throwing the ball back to the infield. There are three outfield positions: left fielder, center fielder, and right fielder, each covering different areas of the field.
Outfielders need to have good speed, agility, and hand-eye coordination to track and catch the ball. They often work closely with infielders and the pitcher to coordinate defensive plays. Successful outfielders can significantly impact the game by making crucial catches and preventing extra bases.
