Othniel Charles Marsh
Othniel Charles Marsh (1831-1899) was an American paleontologist known for his significant contributions to the field of dinosaur research. He is best recognized for his role in the "Bone Wars," a rivalry with Edward Drinker Cope that led to the discovery and description of numerous dinosaur species in the late 19th century.
Marsh's work included the identification of famous dinosaurs such as Triceratops and Stegosaurus. He also founded the Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale University, where many of his fossil collections are housed. His efforts greatly advanced the understanding of prehistoric life in North America.
