Oseberg Ship
The Oseberg Ship is a well-preserved Viking ship discovered in a burial mound in Norway in 1904. Dating back to the early 9th century, it is one of the most significant archaeological finds from the Viking Age. The ship measures about 21.5 meters long and was used for both burial and ceremonial purposes.
The Oseberg Ship contained the remains of two women, believed to be high-status individuals, along with various grave goods, including tools, textiles, and animal remains. This discovery has provided valuable insights into Viking culture, shipbuilding techniques, and burial practices during that era.
