Orthopedic Surgeon
An orthopedic surgeon is a medical doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the musculoskeletal system. This system includes bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Orthopedic surgeons often perform surgeries to repair injuries, correct deformities, or replace damaged joints, such as in the case of a hip replacement or knee surgery.
In addition to surgery, orthopedic surgeons also provide non-surgical treatments, such as physical therapy and medication. They work with patients of all ages, from children with growth-related issues to older adults with arthritis. Their goal is to help patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
