Orthodox Cross
The Orthodox Cross, also known as the Eastern Orthodox Cross, is a Christian symbol used primarily in the Eastern Orthodox Church. It features three horizontal bars: the top bar represents the inscription placed above Jesus during the crucifixion, while the lower bar is slanted, symbolizing the balance between heaven and hell.
This cross is distinct from the more common Latin Cross, which has only one horizontal bar. The Orthodox Cross is often used in religious ceremonies, artwork, and church architecture, reflecting the rich traditions and beliefs of Orthodox Christianity.
