Origin_Systems
Origin_Systems is a video game development company founded in 1983 by Richard Garriott and his brother, Robert Garriott. The company is best known for creating the popular Ultima series, which significantly influenced the role-playing game (RPG) genre.
In 1992, Origin_Systems was acquired by Electronic Arts, allowing it to expand its resources and reach. The company continued to develop notable titles, including the Wing Commander series, which combined space combat with engaging storytelling. Origin_Systems was eventually closed in 2004, but its legacy remains influential in the gaming industry.
