Oregon Historical Society
The Oregon Historical Society (OHS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Oregon. Founded in 1898, it operates a museum and research library in Portland, offering exhibitions, educational programs, and resources for researchers and the public.
OHS also maintains a vast collection of artifacts, documents, and photographs that reflect the diverse stories of Oregon's past. Through its efforts, the society aims to promote understanding and appreciation of the state's history, including the experiences of Native American tribes and early settlers.
