Orca Pod
An Orca Pod is a social group of killer whales, known for their intelligence and complex social structures. These pods can consist of a few individuals to over 40 members, often including family units like mothers, their offspring, and sometimes grandmothers. Each pod has its own unique vocalizations and hunting techniques, which are passed down through generations.
Orca pods are typically matriarchal, with older females leading the group. They communicate using a variety of clicks, whistles, and body language. The social bonds within a pod are strong, and members often work together to hunt for prey, such as fish and seals.
