Opiliones
Opiliones, commonly known as harvestmen, are arachnids belonging to the order Opiliones. They are characterized by their long legs and small, rounded bodies, which often give them a spider-like appearance. Unlike true spiders, harvestmen do not produce silk and have a fused body structure, meaning their cephalothorax and abdomen are joined.
These creatures are primarily nocturnal and can be found in various habitats, including forests, grasslands, and caves. Harvestmen are scavengers, feeding on decaying plant material, small insects, and other organic matter. They play an important role in the ecosystem by helping to decompose organic material and recycle nutrients.
