Open Government Partnership
The Open Government Partnership (OGP) is an international initiative that aims to promote transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in government. Launched in 2011, it encourages countries to commit to open governance practices, allowing citizens to access information and engage in decision-making processes.
Participating countries develop action plans that outline specific commitments to improve governance. These commitments can include measures like enhancing public access to government data, fostering civic engagement, and combating corruption. The OGP currently includes over 70 countries, working together to create more open and responsive governments for their citizens.
