Ontario Secondary School Diploma
The Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is a credential awarded to students who successfully complete high school in Ontario, Canada. To earn the OSSD, students must complete a minimum of 30 credits, which include compulsory courses in subjects like English, mathematics, and science, as well as optional courses that allow for personal interests and career exploration.
In addition to the credit requirements, students must also complete 40 hours of community involvement and pass the Ontario Literacy Test. The OSSD is essential for students who wish to pursue post-secondary education, enter the workforce, or apply for apprenticeships after graduation.
